The eM3-ROT-1500-HF is an electric 3 DOF high frequency vibration system for a gross moving load up to 1500 Kg. It is designed for use in (level D) helicopter simulators to simulate the rotor vibration. The whole cockpit, including pilot and controls will be subjected to the vibration. The vibration system can accurately produce main and tail rotor vibrations and simulate failures. The system can be used stand-alone, or can be integrated with an eM6-1400-14000 level D motion system.
Based on the customer’s design of the complete simulator incl. the location of the projectors of the visual system, the height of the upper platform is customizable within certain limits.

D&CS purchased a level D electric motion system from E2M, combined with a high frequency 3-DOF cockpit shaker. These systems will be used for full flight helicopter simulators.

The high frequency 3-DOF cockpit shaker system has also been installed in the EC175 Airbus Helicopter Level D full-flight simulator.

The system uses electric actuators of the highest quality to ensure a long life of the system. All components in the system are preloaded to ensure zero-backlash performance.
ease of use
The included control software features a cross coupling compensation feature with automatic learning and calibration capabilities. Provided that the system is properly mechanically mounted and supported this software makes it relatively easy to achieve accurate vibration accelerations in all three degrees of freedom. Typical applications are cockpit shakers for commercial- and military helicopter full flight/mission simulators and high frequency, multi-axial test applications.
ready to use
The eM3-ROT-1500-HF vibration system is delivered assembled and fully tested and can be directly installed into the simulator. The upper platform is a strong mechanically stiff structure to which the cabin can be directly connected. Upon request, a custom mounting hole pattern can be supplied.
